Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Doctor - Patient relationship is back! DPC is a healthcare model that emphasizes a direct relationship between patients and their doctor, without the involvement of insurance companies or third-party payers. In this model, patients pay a monthly or annual fee for access to primary care services including well visits, sick visits and everything in between! By eliminating the administrative burdens associated with insurance billing and reimbursement, DPC doctors can focus on delivering high-quality, personalized and patient-centered care.

  • No, membership with Fig Tree is self-pay. We encourage all of our members to have health insurance for services that we don’t provide, such as emergency medical care, specialists, hospitalization and and imaging costs.

Our focus is serving you, not third party payers, and we’re excited to provide innovative, personalized care with transparent pricing, easy access to your doctor, many included services and convenient scheduling for longer appointments!

  • Fig Tree Pediatrics is a membership model which results in better care at a lower cost:

    - Transparent pricing, lower overhead and increased efficiency (bye-bye surprise bills, paperwork, waiting on hold and waiting weeks for a visit)

    - Improved access to your doctor (hello phone, text, telehealth and same- or next-day appointments)

    - Longer appointment times with a focus on preventive care (let’s talk about long-term health!)

Compared to a conventional fee-for-service model, we’re able to spend a lot more time with our patients and deliver personalized care.

Healthcare needs don't always arise during regular business hours; being able to easily communicate with your doctor can be a game-changer for many families. Whether you have a quick question or need ongoing advice on a particular issue, we're here to support you every step of the way.

We believe that healthcare shouldn’t be transactional, and our membership model is a reflection of that. Our commitment to the long-term health of your family includes upfront pricing, increased provider access, personalized care, and the peace of mind that comes with it.

  • We will meet you where you are - including letting you choose the best form of communication for you. Secure text messaging and email are the most direct ways to reach us, but phone works too!
